"The diaspora vote will drain the swamp"/ Balla: DP and Berisha emerge

The Political Leader of the Socialist Party for the Diaspora, Taulant Balla, has reacted to what he calls the Democratic Party's "disinformation campaign" regarding the vote of Albanians abroad, while giving a strong message to Albanians around the world.

"Strength Albanians of Greece, Italy, Germany, England, America and everywhere in the world! For the European destiny of our nation, for Albania 2030 in the EU, for your red-black European passport, for Edi Rama and the Socialist Party, for giving the missing dignity to the Albanian flag and name abroad, and for together with you we will give Albania the status of European citizenship, as finally equal members of the United States of Europe", Balla said in a post on social networks.

He accused the opposition of trying to hinder the diaspora voting process through propaganda and fake news.

"Sisters and brothers, the swamp has never wanted the vote of the diaspora and has done everything to prevent the realization of this historic moment, when Albanians around the world are sending by mail their vote of confidence in the leadership of Albania," Balla emphasized.

According to him, it is clear that the film seen many times about the non-recognition of the elections, this time is being shot with the vote of the diaspora. He called on Albanians abroad not to be discouraged, but to continue sending the envelope with the ballot.

"While we should all call on them to start sending envelopes with ballots, the swamp aims to discourage the diaspora through disinformation. But the vote of the diaspora and here in Albania will finally drain the swamp, despite the owls, frogs, snakes and whatever else is inside," Balla concluded.

Balla accuses the Democratic Party and its leader of having built a "continuous disinformation campaign" over the years with such statements in order to delegitimize institutions and electoral processes. This tradition is continuing in this campaign, where through successive slanders for allegedly using the administration in elections, intimidation of voters and tales of patronage, manipulation of diaspora envelopes, accusations of vote buying, non-existent orders for photographing votes or other claims, the Democrats and Sali Berisha are preparing the next alibi with which they will appear before their voters as losers on May 12. /CNA
