Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with citizens in Fushë-Krujë today. In his speech, Rama shared data and figures, which according to him are related to 99 projects worth 81 million euros in this area.

Rama said that this data is not to show that the SP has performed miracles.

Rama stated that Fushë-Kruja and Albania have the prophecy of Gjergj Kastrioti. 

"There are 99 projects, 81 million euros that have transformed Durrës, they have transformed Kruja, a historical and tourism destination, which was a big mess. Meanwhile, with the interventions we have made, it is completely different, right? And of course Shijaku, where Shijaku was a complete swamp, while today it is truly a very dignified urban territory.

Here we are on tourism and the environment, 14 projects and around 30 million euros that the government has allocated for tourism and the environment in the Durrës region.

Here we are at the water supply and sewage system, 200 million euros have been invested in 116 water supply and sewage projects. Here we come to energy.

The issue of the quality of energy distribution has been a problem everywhere, and we have invested 177 million euros in 121 projects to improve the electricity distribution network.

Here we are in agriculture, 130 projects, almost 50 million euros in support that the government has given to farmers and the sector in the Durrës region.

Here we are in education and of course the Durrës region is much higher than the others, also due to reconstruction. There are 191 projects and in fact, the new schools in Durrës, Kruja, in Bubq, I even remember that director of education when we went to Bubq said: Prime Minister, he said we have more bathrooms in schools than in all the houses around, so these are truly European standard schools and we will go all the way, every child will go to a European standard school.

These are the sports projects, 14 projects, 5.8 million euros. It is now in the process of competition, of entering the competition, after the detailed project has been completed, as well as the new stadium of Durrës, which will be a new center, not only sports, but also urban of the very modern city.

Culture, 39 projects, 17.6 million euros for cultural activities, support.

And health and social care. These are health centers, polyclinics, hospitals, 13.6 million euros.

This is the general overview and we mentioned and talked about the reconstruction, and finally I want you to see the amount invested in these 3 mandates by the Albanian government for the region of 1.1 billion euros.

All of this is not to tell you "look at what a miracle we have done", but to tell you that we have done everything we could and have left nothing undone to raise this region to another level, to raise Kruja, Durrës, Shijak and Albania itself to another level and now we are in a new phase, when, as I told you when I came here, that in the next 4 years we will do more than we have done in the other years gathered together, I tell you the same thing, in the next 4 years we will do even more than we have done in all the other years gathered together, if you and all the citizens will give us even stronger support, an unwavering faith and an even greater power to make decisions and move the country forward by also realizing the prophecy of the one you have up there in Kruja, like the shadow of the entire mountain, Gjergj Kastrioti, who determined back then that "The destiny of his great-grandchildren is Europe," Rama said. /CNA
