The legal representative of the DP, Ivi Kaso, in a statement to the media, commented on the Court's decision to postpone the court session for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

Kaso said that this is an attempt to silence Berisha by not letting him participate in the parliamentary sessions or go to the PD headquarters.

According to Kasos, the final strategy is burning the mandate.

"The Prosecutor's Office and the Courts of Power continued today to clarify the unconstitutional scheme, to remove the mandate given by the Albanians to the deputy Sali Berisha, at the same time the chairman of the Democratic Party.

Interpreting the law once and Maliq once, SPAK and the courts endlessly postpone such a simple 'issue', such as the administrative permission for the MP, Sali Berisha, still without any charges, to go to parliament and exercise his legitimate mandate.

On the pretext of not receiving the notification personally from Sali Berisha, although it was fully proven with documents that the notification was received from Mr. Berisha and in a double standard that has not prevented the court before to take security measures against Sali Berisha without notifying him at all that, the same judge today postponed the hearing for a week only to drag out the case with illegal, unjustified and unconstitutional forms.

The intention of the power is one and clear. Attempts to silence Sali Berisha, not only in the headquarters of the Party - home of the democrats, but also in the headquarters of the Assembly, which should be the home of the citizens. The final strategy: mandate burning.

We assure Rama, SPAK and the other mballoma of power, that no trick or legal artifice can violate the mandate of Sali Berisha. That mandate is trust and responsibility that comes from the vote and sacrifices of thousands of democrats, not a gift from power gangs, which is taken once every four years with armored cars and cash.

No matter how hard the judicial tools of the regime try, nothing can stop MP Sali Berisha from exercising his mandate and giving voice to the denunciation of every injustice that happens in this country.

The Democratic Party will continue to closely monitor and make transparent for the public every step of this judicial farce against MP Berisha. We will prove to the Albanians how far from their expectations and the standards of a democratic state are the bodies of the reform of justice controlled in every cell by Edi Rama. Also, that a politically captured justice is more dangerous for a country that aspires to become democratic, than its complete absence", said Kaso./ CNA
