Deputy Agron Gjekmarkaj reacted to the expulsion of 19 fellow opposition deputies for the protests in Thursday's plenary session.
Gjekmarkaj said that the decision of the Secretariat of Ethics is unusual and inappropriate and shows the tragicomic situation in politics.
"It is unusual to expel 19 MPs at the same time, who have not done anything illegal... a tragicomic situation that shows that in some way the government and the prime minister are losing their nerve a little. To go towards such a punishment is inappropriate", he said.
The deputy sees the expulsion of his colleagues as absurd, as he claims that the cause is just.
"The cause is right, the protest of colleagues is right and I continue to support it. We are not there to be a sidekick to the government, to wink at it, to throw water on it whenever the 'flames' of protests are ignited. Without turning into a 'fake' opposition, we can find opportunities to turn these topics into discourse and debate", emphasized Gjekmarkaj./ CNA
