Gjylameti, vice president of the Parliamentary Assembly of KiE/ Basha denies lobbying

Blerina Gjylameti, head of the parliamentary delegation that participated in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, was elected vice-president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council.

Being part of the Albanian delegation, Lulzim Basha was asked by journalists if he lobbied for Gjylameti in the meetings he held in Strasbourg.

Basha replied that he has not lobbied for the socialist deputy to be elected vice-president of the Assembly of the KiE Parliament.

"No, I did not lobby for the deputy/president to be elected, they are elected on the proposal of the parliamentary groups and Ms. Gjylahmeti was elected on the proposal of the European SP parliamentary group", he said.
