Supporters of the former prime minister and citizens have protested this evening for the former prime minister Sali Berisha.

The protest was opened by the member of the Presidency of the Democratic Party, Belind Kelliçi, who said that Berisha is being held in isolation, without evidence or facts.

He stated that the protest is not only for the chief democrat but also for the opposition, while he stated that the majority always blames Berisha for misgovernment.

"You are giving a message to the citizens and young people of this country that Albania can be done. We are here for Sali Berisha, but not only for Sali Berisha, we have always said, we are for the opposition, for the Democratic Party.

Today, again in the early hours of the day, we had a denunciation of the hundreds of millions of euros that are abused, stolen every day by this government, every day by the prime minister, every day by the mayors. The chorus of their accusations is that Sali Berisha is to blame. If you listen, they say that Berisha is to blame for the bad governance of Albania. When it's cold, it's Sali Berisha's fault. When it rains, Sali Berisha is to blame. When he steals 4,000 square meters of land for 1 euro, it's still Sali Berisha's fault", underlined Kelliçi./ CNA
