Deputy Agron Shehaj made a strong statement this evening, as he spoke about Transparency International's report on the Perception of Corruption index for 2023 in Albania.

Shehaj said on Erlka Mëhilli's show that corruption did not come with this government.

He stated that the opposition also commits theft, putting personal interest before civic interest.

"It would be hypocritical of me to say that corruption has come with this government. The role of the opposition is precisely to offer an alternative to the government, to resist the majority's attempt to buy the opposition. This has not happened in these 10 years.

The opposition has not resisted the government's attempt to soften the opposition's role. We can't speak for everyone. There is and will be, because just as they steal in the majority, there is also theft in the opposition.
