Veliaj's brother admits/I'm paying the Americans

Arbër Veliaj, the man who represents clients who benefit from concessions or public tenders in the government and the Municipality of Tirana, has admitted that he is paying an American law firm to defend the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

This confirms the news that hundreds of thousands of dollars were paid to a lobbying studio from the US.

"I publicly clarify that I am the financial guarantor for the engagement of an American law firm, which will provide consultancy and strategy for the legal protection of my brother and the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj," Arbër Veliaj declared.

CNA has revealed details from the court decision revealing Arbër Veliaj's connection with the NGOs of the mayor's wife, Ajola Xoxa.

According to the facts and evidence presented and in the court's decision, Arbër Veliaj paid Ajola Xoxa's companies tens of millions of lek.
