Veliaj welcomes Hollywood actor Danny Glover/ "I'm happy that Tirana

Mayor Erion Veliaj received the famous Hollywood actor, Danny Glover, who is in Tirana for the shooting of his latest film entitled The Prosecutor, which will be broadcast on Netflix.

Glover and his team shot some of the scenes of the series in the Albanian capital, which is produced by Ylli Ujka.

Veliaj said that it is a great pleasure that Tirana hosts such a great actor as Danny Glover.

"I am very happy that a Netflix series titled 'The Prosecutor' is being shot in Tirana. We grew up in those difficult years, when we didn't have access to American television, where with artificial antennas we watched American movies dubbed in Italian, while cinema, art, actors, were a window to a world where Albania aspired to be a part . I would not have imagined that actors like Danny Glover would come to our city to shoot films, and prestigious platforms like Netflix raise Tirana's reputation. Sometimes miracles happen and I'm so glad you're in our city. This place will always be your home and you are always welcome" , said Veliaj.

Actor Denny Glover said that he felt very welcome in Tirana and is looking forward to his next visit.

"I have the opportunity to talk about the special visit I had here in Albania, and also how much I appreciate the people I work with here. Being known is one thing, but being respected and loved is something else, and I am a friend of the Albanian people. This visit will not be my last here in Albania. Thank you very much ," said Glover.
