During a meeting with representatives of the associations, Këlliçi promised more attention for this layer of society, which until today has been left in oblivion by the municipality of Tirana.

"Although there has been a regulation since 2008, and correct me if I'm wrong here, the implementation of the rules for the elimination of architectural barriers and housing, spaces and public services, which contains all the technical details for the realization of the elements of suitability in the standards correctly, the municipality of Tirana, again until today in 2023, has not implemented this regulation. I guarantee that these rules will be implemented immediately in the planning process and the granting of building permits to ensure that all new buildings are accessible to persons with disabilities in accordance with international and western standards," he said. .

The free bus will be a relief for this layer of society, but Belind Këlliçi also promised to modernize public transport, with buses offering ramps for wheelchairs to climb onto these vehicles.

"I made a promise about the free bus and I will certainly keep it after May 14. But above all, we will modernize the bus line and all the stations also for the disabled. In the part of the program to modernize the fleet of buses that will be provided free of charge, there must also be the insurance of the buses that are equipped with ramps that have an obligation", said Kelliçi.

Another commitment is to increase the employment quotas of persons with disabilities in the municipality of Tirana and dependent institutions.

"The employment quota for persons with disabilities will be another priority that the municipality of Tirana will establish through the system of employment quotas for its staff and public enterprises depending on the municipality of Tirana.
