Veliaj was "caught" lying: We cannot pave the way from the Electoral Code

The current head of the Tirana Municipality, Erion Veliaj, held a meeting with the residents of the rural areas of Tirana, from where he promised to continue with his projects, starting with the paving of roads.
During his speech, Veliaj stated that he would start the work from this moment, but because we are in an election campaign and the Electoral Code prohibits such a thing, he will continue with the projects after May 14.
But Veliaj is "caught checkmate". Finally, the media and the opposition have denounced cases where electoral asphalt is being laid in many neighborhoods both in the capital and in other cities.
Such a thing in the capital has been denounced by the candidate of the coalition "Bashke Fitomje" Belind Kelliçi, who a few days ago said that a factory illegally sells electoral asphalt.
Also, in many neighborhoods of Tirana, roads have been paved during the campaign, where it is clear that the Electoral Code has been violated, and today Veliaj was caught in a lie.
"Our road paving project will continue, but due to the Electoral Code, we are not allowed during the campaign period. We have a chance to move Tirana forward. Today we have a lot of work, we have started it, some are half way. The ring must continue. We made a promise and said we will no longer come to ask for votes if we do not open the agri-food market, as we did in Farka. The train must continue and must not stop. There are minutes left in our field", said Veliaj.
