Another report for Veliaj, ends up in SPAK and Agron Malaj

Another report was filed this Thursday in SPAK against the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

Also, the mayor of Mati, Agron Malaj, is included in the report. The documents were submitted to SPAK by lawyer Adriana Kalaja, on behalf of the Democratic Party.

DP accuses Veliaj and Malaj of having committed the criminal offenses of corruption and illegal profit from tenders.

The report is related to the construction of the "La Brisa" hotel in Dhërmi, where the directors of Veliaj are also involved.

"The director of UKT Tirana and the head of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj..., we have appreciated that all the steps are fulfilled to file an additional criminal report against the Municipality of Mati, who are suspected of having committed serious crimes criminal charges related to the passive corruption of high officials and the illegal benefit made by the brother of Agron Malaj, in the capacity of a partner with four companies that we denounced earlier.

We have brought to the attention of SPAK, although these very serious violations in the budget of the respective municipalities have also been evidenced by KLSH, which we have referred to, and the investigative body has not taken any measures related to the further advancement of the consumption of these criminal offenses .

We have asked SPAK to seize the hotel 'La brisa' in Dhërmi, we have also requested the establishment of an investigation group to find the source of income that this hotel has been built, and we have requested a detailed analysis of the tenders that Malaj's brother has won in the Municipality of Tirana", stressed Kalaja in a statement to the media./ CNA
