The ambassador of the Netherlands, Reinout Vos, in a statement from Korça, called on the opposition to restore the institutional process of the parliament in the best possible way, because the parliament is the heart of democracy.

"In a democratic country, the parliament is the heart of the whole state and it is a pity that for a month the parliamentary procedures have not been in the right course. I call on the political parties to restore this institutional process of the parliament in the best possible way. best possible, because the parliament is the heart of democracy", he said. 

He added that all political parties should contribute to the normal procedures of parliamentary life.

"For this reason, we have continuous cooperation and dialogue with all political parties in Albania", he said. 

Regarding the Electoral Code, he said that at the moment we have these blockages of parliamentary procedures and the electoral reform is one of these procedures that is blocked.

"Europe is made up of unity and diversity, and therefore we do not have a fixed recipe for how democracy will be organized in our institutions. It depends on us, on the Albanian institutions to reorganize these elements," he said./CNA
