"Keep the parliamentary debate alive"/ Gjiknuri: The opposition's

The Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Damian Gjiknuri, commented today on the opposition's claims of irregularities during plenary sessions.

In his speech in the Assembly, Gjiknuri stated that the three opposition claims were discussed on their substantive merit, as according to him there is a separation between the institution's regulations and the law.

Gjiknuri requested that the parliamentary debate within the institution be lively.

"There was a debate regarding the substantial merit of the opposition's request. The claims were in three directions. The first, why the regulation was changed and why the meeting was called at short notice and the composition of the parliamentary committees. The second for the interruption of the opposition's speech. And the third that the parliamentary debate was not respected. Disloyalty regarding the regulation, but it is not a law. We are a sovereign Assembly. The notification was made on time. Measures for the reallocation were taken. The parties were. The Constitution states the determination. The law also has consequences for third parties. The parties must be recognized. The parliamentary debate must be lively. Therefore, the regulation is not equated with the law," said Gjiknuri./CNA
