"Regional cooperation, the only path to the EU"/ Rama: We do not agree

Prime Minister Edi Rama said that regional cooperation is the only path to integration into the European Union. Rama said that even with Serbia, although they do not agree on the Kosovo issue, they have a series of agreements on the free movement of citizens and goods.

According to him, not doing so would further increase tensions in the Balkans. He further added that Europe has recently been Balkanized, while saying that two of the countries that demonstrate this are France and Britain.

"The happier the neighbor, the happier the house. If you are celebrating yourself, make sure that the neighbor is not starving. We have cooperation policies with everyone in the region. With Serbia, of course, we have a big problem, which is Kosovo. For us, Kosovo is a state with every right, and for Serbia and some other countries it is not. Either we would sit back and incite tensions, and damage our economy, or say that we do not agree on this but we agree on some other things. Regional cooperation is the only way for us who want to become EU members. Over the past few years, I have seen that Europe has become very Balkanized. France as a whole has not yet approved a budget, this is a Balkan. Britain too. Now we are the best ," said Rama. /CNA
