"They are already afraid"/ Teliti: Invoices of 9 million euros for DHL

The Advisor for Economic Affairs at the Democratic Party, Dorjan Teliti, commented today regarding the developments of recent days, regarding the invoice and payment that the CEC must make to the DHL postal company that distributed ballots for the diaspora in the May 11 elections.  

In an interview on 'Syri Tv', Teliti claimed that if the proper work was done by the CEC and DHL on May 11, then there is no reason not to provide 9 million euros for this service.

Teliti added that the delay could be due to Commissioner Celibashi withholding invoices from me.

 "This proves something. What is problematic in 3 decades of transition. Since it comes to political positions that do not have legal value, everyone does as ordered. And what was the order? To recognize the elections... and Celibashi did it very well.

The elections were recognized, they were made official. When it comes to legal responsibility, which is the implementation of a contract that, according to Albanian legislation, has the same validity as the law and its implementation, then and people know it very well, we must be careful. Because today we can really sign this contract, but tomorrow the Supreme Audit Office comes, the next audit comes, it brought a financial expertise, but tomorrow there may also be a parliamentary investigative commission that will verify the entire progress of the diaspora vote process, where a key part of it will definitely be the implementation of its contract signed by the CEC itself with the specific operator, DHL, regarding all the obligations it had and the final privilege that is money.

They want 9 million euros? Let them take it if they have done their job. Is it the CEC that said that the diaspora vote is an excellent vote, it is a fair vote, it is a vote that was read properly, it was a vote that went properly, was delivered properly, was received properly, arrived at the CEC properly, was counted properly. Were these things said to them? To be signed, why aren't they signed today?

What does it mean not to sign the financial obligation, the payment of a process. But, when you are afraid, when you are shy that that process is not regular but you have simply made a political justification but you know very well that in the legal aspect there are various violations, that's where fear comes in. And fear has already seized the CEC and the chief commissioner and his team who have been waiting for months for invoices received from the DHL operator," Teliti said./ CNA
