Bled/Hasani Strategic Forum: Youth, the main engine of the future of the Western

As part of the Bled Strategic Forum, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, participated today in the panel organized for the Western Balkan countries, where, together with counterparts from the region, they discussed the topic "A Region Far from Youth: Time for Change".

The focus of this panel was the need to empower young people in the region in the European integration process and to make them active participants in social, economic and democratic development.

In his speech, Minister Hasani underlined that: "Youth is the main engine of the future of the Western Balkans and beyond. Its inclusion in the European integration process is irreplaceable."

Among other things, he emphasized that Albania is placing young people at the center of the integration process, through initiatives that strengthen their role as active contributors to the region's common European future.

Earlier today, at the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, Minister Hasani met with the foreign ministers of the Western Balkans, who discussed EU integration, regional security, and economic cooperation.

"For Albania, EU membership is a national goal, but also a necessity for the entire region. Through closer cooperation within the EU and NATO, we can ensure a more stable, more united and European-minded Western Balkans," said Hasani.
