The Socialist Party's political leader for the diaspora, Taulant Balla, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of Albanians abroad at the beginning of the meeting in Crete with the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama. He stressed the importance of the diaspora's participation in the electoral process, describing their vote as decisive for Albania's European future.

Balla also said that a vote for the Socialist Party is a vote for the family and for a European Albania. Recalling his political commitment, he shared a personal moment from the beginning of his career as a deputy. He invited all Albanians that when they receive the envelope with their vote, they should fill it out without hesitation.
