The Socialist Party's political leader for the diaspora, Taulant Balla, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality of Albanians abroad at the beginning of the meeting in Crete with the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama. He stressed the importance of the diaspora's participation in the electoral process, describing their vote as decisive for Albania's European future. 

Balla also said that a vote for the Socialist Party is a vote for the family and for a European Albania. Recalling his political commitment, he shared a personal moment from the beginning of his career as a deputy. He invited all Albanians that when they receive the envelope with their vote, they should fill it out without hesitation. 

" Hello Crete, thank you very much for this warm hospitality. When we set the itinerary of the meetings with the diaspora before the historic date of May 11, we had no doubt that one of the meeting points would be Crete. I want to thank you here from Hania, the 246 thousand of our compatriots, a quarter of a million throughout the diaspora who joined us to give Edi Rama and the Socialist Party a historic mandate on May 11, to finally give each of you the deserved European passport. Therefore, sisters and brothers, this mandate is the most important mandate that the Albanian people, this time together with our brothers and sisters in the diaspora, have entrusted to the Socialist Party and Prime Minister Edi Rama. As then and now, in such a beautiful campaign with our brothers and sisters in the diaspora, I received a question there and now. Then they told me: Okay, Taulant, when you are elected MP, will Are you bringing us to the area anymore because we're not used to the deputy coming to us often?

I want to tell you today that I have been getting the same question these days and everywhere I have gone in the past 7 months they have told us they will come back.
