"We don't know who runs the Municipality of Tirana"/ Zhulali:

Tirana Municipal Councilor and Democratic Party (DP) candidate for deputy on the open list for Tirana, Ilda Zhulali, stated today that it is unknown who currently leads this institution. She made these statements in a television appearance this Friday.

Zhulali was critical of the management of the Municipality of Tirana, as according to her, citizens have not been asked about the recent changes that have been made in the municipality.

"The state functions with documents and we do not know today who runs the Tirana Municipality. The decision was made without asking any citizen, and I am sure that if they were asked, they would be against this decision," said Zhulali.

Zhulali also accused Prime Minister Edi Rama, who according to her has also taken on the functions of mayor, violating the constitution and the law on local government.

Zhulali expressed his belief that after the May 11 elections, this will change.

 "Prime Minister Rama has also taken on the functions of mayor, violating the constitution and the law on local government. This illegality is seen not only by us, but also by the justice bodies that should have acted. The state functions with documents and we do not know today who runs the Tirana municipality. The Prime Minister has taken on the attributes of the Municipal Council. I want to reassure the residents because I want to assure them that this decision will be undone after the May 11 elections," said Zhulali./CNA
