The Democratic Party said today that Prime Minister Edi Rama is purchasing and using Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) surveillance equipment. Through a statement to the media, the DP says that this shows that Rama is not simply paranoid, but a man who is afraid of his people.

Democratic Party spokesperson Floriana Garo stated that this technology is a direct attack on privacy, freedom of expression and democracy.

According to the DP, once Berisha returns to power, citizens will regain their rights.
