"Apart from us, no one else in Tirana wanted the vote of Albanians

Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with Albanians in Crete. During his speech, Rama said that no one else in Tirana wanted the vote of Albanians abroad.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the pension agreement with the Greek government, which he described as the most difficult agreement and is still unfinished.

In his speech, Rama said that a question he often receives from immigrants has to do with obtaining documents, for which he said that the passport that takes up to 15 years to obtain from the country of origin will be obtained from Albania.

" As everywhere in every part of Greek history, Albanians have been inseparable. And here the Arvanites are known because for years they have been the defenders of Crete. For many years they kept the Ottomans out of Crete. We are together to write a piece of history, which fate has wanted to give us the opportunity to write together. Apart from us, no one else in Tirana wanted the vote of Albanians abroad, because they understood that if they voted, it would undoubtedly be another advantage for the SP.

This is your story of putting the name Albania and Albanian where it deserves to be. The question that awaits an answer is the question that many of you ask about documents, to finally be equal without any difference even in the papers of this state. Today we have the golden opportunity that while we have built a very positive relationship with our neighbors, we should not wait until when the documents will be made with the Albanians who live here and we should not wait until when the pension agreement will be completed, which is the most difficult agreement. That passport that may take 10-15 years to get from the Greek state, get it from the Albanian state as an EU passport , "said Rama./ CNA
