Selami Jenisheri: Coalition with the DP could bring 3 MPs and 25 thousand votes for the opposition
Selami Jenisheri, leader of the Popular Unity Party of Alban...

Democratic Party MP Dashnor Sula, through a post on Facebook, has raised concerns about the measures announced by the government to subsidize farmers, describing them as unsuccessful and an obstacle for most producers.
He has denounced the government's policy, which, according to him, does not support farmers, but rather penalizes them.
Sula stressed that in the village of Vashaj, Peqin Municipality, products have been sold for 15 days, but farmers have not received any support from the state.
He criticized the subsidy scheme, which requires farmers to have at least 1 hectare of greenhouses to benefit.
Sula called this requirement unfair, as most small farmers in Albania do not meet these conditions, leaving them out of support.
"The government came out a few days ago and supposedly promoted measures to subsidize farmers.
In the village of Vashaj, Peqin Municipality, the products have been on the market for 15 days while they do not feel the hand of the state at all.
The government sets as a condition for farmers to benefit from subsidies that they must have at least 1 hectare of greenhouses. This condition was made intentionally to not help farmers. In Albania, those who make these areas and benefit can be counted on the fingers of one hand.
Not only do they support them but they also penalize them. Often my fellow villagers have attached their greenhouses to their houses. In order not to waste the irrigation pump, they connect it to the house's electricity. Those who catch criminals with carts, come and put pressure on small farmers and force them to sign new contracts, increasing their costs even more.
This is what happens with this government that hates those who work. It forces them to abandon their country.
Today, on the market, cucumbers produced in Albania cost 140 lek per kg, while the imported one is 200 lek per kg. But farmers say that there is not enough domestic production to cover the need.
If the Albanians had not left and if they had more support, then the prices would be more economical for everyone.
So on May 11, your vote should go to the Democratic Party. The DP with Dr. Sali Berisha will support domestic production and "Made in Albania" products will be our motto", writes Sula./CNA
