Journalist "slaps" Veliaj: You idiot, it's not charity day,

Journalist Armir Shkurti has given a strong "slap" to the arrested mayor Erion Veliaj in the cell on two serious charges of corruption and laundering of the proceeds of a criminal offense.

From his cell, Erion Veliaj, who has generously given Tirana municipality funds to his wife, demands that today, on the occasion of March 8, women and girls travel for free on public transportation.

Journalist Armir Shkurti harshly addresses Veliaj, saying that he has no right to insult women and girls, that it is not a day of mercy or charity for him to rent them a bus ticket.

The journalist emphasizes that if Veliaj's order is carried out, it will be a violation because he is no longer mayor and responsibilities have already passed to a deputy.

He calls the whole thing a campaign with public money.

"Lej Feni is fighting tooth and nail to save his career and still has no one to say:

- Oh "Koqehekri"! You're a fucking idiot! Especially with this status.

Tirana's money is not mom's money. It's ours, which must be managed responsibly. For women to travel without a ticket tomorrow, someone has to pay, right? Who? And with what money?

Next, get Off!

Women are not a "needy class" for you to do good deeds with 40 cents each. March 8 marks the day when women demand THEIR rights, equality and dignity. It is not a day of mercy and charity. Who, you palacho, gives you the right to insult the women of Tirana by charging them, on March 8, with a bus ticket?

If the municipality of Tirana implements this order of the arrested Veliaj, I think it will also have committed several other violations, even criminal offenses:

- Although he has not been dismissed from his position as mayor, the arrested Veliaj is NO LONGER mayor. His functions have been transferred to one of his deputies. Two roosters on top of a dunghill do not crow.

"The team of prosecutors pursuing electoral crimes is asked to keep in mind whether such a massive "charity", 2 months before the elections, with taxpayers' money, is a publicly funded campaign," writes journalist Armir Shkurti./ CNA
