Cyber ??security/ Balluku: To coordinate activities with the EU
Belinda Balluku

The Deputy Prime Minister, at the same time Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku participated in the high-level Conference on Cyber ??Security in the Western Balkans.

Balluku emphasized that it is necessary to coordinate all activities between the private sector, the public sector, government and the European Union.

"It is always a special pleasure to gather together all the representatives of the countries of the Western Balkans, since it has already become a tradition, our ties have already strengthened and we now function as a single body, as we have long understood that by functioning as that's how we are stronger and more important. Even more so when talking about such a delicate topic, such as cyber security, to which we are already sensitive, not only in the Balkan countries, knowing our sensitivities, but the whole the world, even the most economically developed countries. It is important that conferences like this one have the special attention of governments and legislators, and obviously what is more important is the coordination of all activities between the private sector, the public sector, the government and obviously the European Union", said Balluku.

Creating and providing reliable and secure services in the cross-border digital environment is one of the government's priorities, Balluku said while giving details on the Growth Plan package, the "Growth Plan" on which the Balkan countries are working together.

"The creation and provision of reliable and secure services in the cross-border digital environment for us is one of the government priorities, the national priorities, since just as we have done in the economic field where we consider the Western Balkans as one, we must also consider how belongs to digital developments and it is a pleasure that this whole package is part of the Growth Plan for which all our countries are working individually, but also jointly. Digital integration with all its components, where there is no lack of cooperation in the field of cyber security is one of the main pillars of this plan, the Growth Plan, approved in November 2020 at the Sofia Summit and undoubtedly remains one of the main directions for the new CRM plan 2025-2028", he said she.

Balluk also stopped at the digital development of the country, while Albania was cyberattacked by Iran. Balluku said that the requirements for the security of critical information infrastructures have increased in the country. /CNA
