Albania in SEPA/EU in Tirana: Saves the country 20 million euros per year

The EU Delegation in Tirana shared a message this Wednesday, a few days after Albania became part of the European payments system, SEPA.

The EU says this step reduces costs and makes transfers faster.

The message also emphasizes that this system provides convenience for Albanian families and businesses and saves the country 20 million euros per year. 

"Albania is now part of the Single European Payments Area (SEPA) - a concrete step of the EU Growth Plan, which reduces costs and makes every transfer faster. This means more convenience for Albanian families and businesses, and more connections with European Union countries," the message says. /CNA
