Buying and selling of votes for Bledjon Nallbatin / SPAK sends for trial the two

The Special Prosecutor's Office against Corruption and Organized Crime has completed the investigations into the buying and selling of votes for Bledjon Nallbati in the elections of April 25, 2021.

Kristo Çollaku and Gjergji Butka were involved in corruption to secure votes for Nallbati, so that the latter would win the mandate of deputy.

It is learned that the Prosecutor's Office has sent the file for trial, where the 2 aforementioned persons have been taken as defendants.

Collaku is accused of committing the criminal offense of "Active corruption in elections", while Butka is accused of committing the criminal offense of "Passive corruption in elections".

SPAK announces that from the entirety of the investigative actions it has been proven that the defendant Kristo Çollaku offered Gjergji Butka a sum of money, which was accepted by the latter in order to vote for a candidate for deputy in the Korça District in the elections for the 2021 Albanian Assembly./ CNA
