Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, commented today on speculation about the use by the United States of the Kuçova air base to conduct military operations against Iran.
In a statement to journalists at a media conference following the government meeting, Nufi stressed that Albania will assess a possible request for such a continuation.
"It remains to be assessed when such a request will come. The Kuçova base is a NATO base and I believe that all decision-making is related to Albania's inclusion in the alliance," Nufi said. /CNA
