Demo: Still no position on Territorial Reform, focus on citizens' interests

Minister of State for Local Government, Ervin Demo, said today that the institution he leads does not yet have a position regarding the current phase of the Territorial Reform.

In his speech after the government meeting, Demo said that the role of the ministry is to partner with the Reform Commission, for the implementation of the project that will be established, which, according to him, should prioritize the interests of citizens.

"I was in the Commission and I see the role of the Ministry in partnership. The Ministry will have to implement the project that is decided in the Commission, where the submissions for the 2015 reform were made. There is no position on the reform. The Commission has started work and will hold meetings and hearings with intensity. I underline the importance of focus and voluminous work from the interest of citizens to benefit from the real opportunity and what they can benefit in the territory", - said Demo./CNA
