Korreshi: The government, like a washing machine, cleans the money of Albanian

Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi said today that the socialist government is acting like a money laundering machine through the construction sector.

Speaking at today's plenary session, Korreshi said with irony that the amount of euros circulating in Albania from this activity is so large that if Europe had known, it would have removed this banknote from circulation.  

"Half of the buildings are still in the name of the builders. Stop the beautiful cars that are on the road and are eye-catching. You will see that none of them are in the name of the driver. A businessman has 200 cars. You say that money laundering is what Europe requires. If Europe knew how many 500-euro pallets there are here, it would have completely removed the euro from circulation. It is no coincidence that you defend the interest rate that may have fallen and that you are defending the millet. From what you love so much, Albanians, 45 million euros were stolen just through money laundering, washing machines and centrifuges. This multifunctional washing machine of yours," said Korreshi. /CNA
