The leader of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has reacted regarding the setting of the date for the start of his trial on the merits. Meta expressed in his reaction on social networks that he will be present at every trial session.

I welcome the setting of April 27th as the start date for my trial on the merits!

I will be there, at every session, out of respect for all the citizens of the Republic of Albania, whom I have had the honor of serving in the three highest state offices, that of President of the Republic, Speaker of the Assembly, and Prime Minister.
