Democratic Party MP Saimir Korreshi said today that money laundering in Albania has become like a big washing machine, which is being practiced in the construction field.

In his speech during a discussion in the commission, Korreshi said that such illegal activity is being carried out mainly by segments linked to the mafia, which as a result has led to the construction of towers that are being sold for 6 thousand euros per meter.

"Money laundering has become a very big laundry. It's not just us as the opposition who say it, but also Italian and German prosecutors. In every show we have become like that grandmother who used to tell fairy tales on Saturday. Everyone says that the Albanian mafia is very dangerous and everyone is worried about money laundering.

6 thousand euros per meter in towers, who gets these towers? As everyone knows, we know who is building in Tirana, a good part under names, or the problem of lek with interest. We also know who is building in the south.
