MEPJ warns citizens: Beware of unofficial websites that offer visa information

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced today that, following the continuous monitoring of open sources on the internet, the existence of a website has been ascertained, which contains materials and information similar to those published on the official website for applying for an entry visa for foreign citizens in the Republic of Albania.

According to the MEPJ, the website is not an official website and is not authorized by Albanian state authorities to provide information or services related to visa procedures.

The Ministry clarifies that the only official website for Albanian electronic visa applications, which citizens should refer to, is: https://e-visa.al/

The Ministry of Justice and Public Security calls on citizens and interested parties to exercise maximum caution and use only official sources for applications and information, in order to avoid any possible abuse.

Cybersecurity bodies and law enforcement authorities are taking measures to block any illegal activity as well as track and prosecute responsible persons according to applicable legislation. /CNA
