The Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj, held a meeting this Tuesday with representatives of entities operating in the construction sector in the Shëngjin area.

In his speech, Malaj focused on the formalization process, through encouraging the real declaration of salaries.

"Formalization is yielding concrete results!"

The construction sector is entering a new phase of development – ??fairer, more transparent and more sustainable. Through our formalization campaign, we have managed to promote real wage disclosure and increase fairness in the market.

The results speak for themselves:

Significant increase in declared salaries, especially in the fields

70,000-120,000 lek

Reduction of understatement of minimum wage

+425 million lek additional revenue each month in the budget – without increasing taxes.

This means more security for employees today and more dignified pensions tomorrow.

"Our approach remains clear: we do not increase the fiscal burden, but ensure that it is distributed fairly and everyone contributes fairly," Malaj said. /CNA
