Rama: Albania has ambitions for integration, the EU asks us to carry out reforms

Prime Minister Edi Rama was in Lezha this afternoon, attending the meeting of the Socialist Party Assembly.

In his speech, Rama emphasized that the country's integration into the European Union is a great ambition, which according to him will be fully completed in 2027.

Rama also focused on relations with the EU in this process, as he described the reconfirmation of the Socialist Party in the upcoming elections as an important element.

"An agreement with the European Commission and to carry out our tasks as Albania with great ambition, which ends in 2027. Then, there is about 2 years left to receive approval, so it goes with an account of what may happen in 2030. The truth is that we have opened all the chapters in record time, which has come as a result of our work, but also of their readiness. The development of relations with the EU is also the part that they want. They tell us that we must also carry out reforms, so that the country has laws that are aligned with the EU. The open door will not remain as long as we want. But the 83 mandates that came from the elections, we will not forgive anyone. We will do our jobs, we will not leave them any reason and for this we must be strong and so that in the next elections we confirm ourselves as an electoral force", - said Rama. /CNA
