Political scientist Afrim Krasniqi commented today on the Socialist Party's initiative for maritime prefects controlling the coast from Velipoja to Kavaja and one for the southern area.

Invited to 'A2 CNN', Krasniqi described it as an experiment that has not happened in any other country in Europe and that is not found as an idea in any political theory.

"Now the maritime prefect has also been invented, if you've heard of it: two maritime prefects, one who controls from Velipoja to Kavaja, and the other to the South, the entire South coast. In all political theories, you won't find such an experiment. It has never happened in the history of Europe. We have had executive representatives in exceptional cases, for exceptional events, or exceptional territory. When they're done with the sea, they'll return to the mountains. You have the Electoral Reform in Parliament, the law on the perfect, the organization of the education system.
