"A corridor between the Alps and the Adriatic coast"/ Minister

The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enea Karakaçi, after the government meeting, presented the "Gateway to the Alps" project for the Shkodra region.

Karakaçi said that this project, approved by the government, is an agreement with the European Investment Bank, worth 50 million euros, and another 50 million have been allocated by the government.

Further, the minister explained that this project includes the rehabilitation of urban squares or the reconstruction of boulevards. Karakaçi said that the "Gateway to the Alps" project creates for the first time a corridor between the Alps and the Adriatic coast.  

 

" We have approved an important infrastructure project for the Shkodra region, called "Gateway to the Alps". A financing agreement with the European Investment Bank, worth 50 million euros and another 50 million euros have been committed by the Albanian government to be allocated from the state budget. "Gateway to the Alps" includes specific infrastructure projects. The program and agreement relate to the rehabilitation of urban squares, the reconstruction of boulevards and multifunctional centers. The other component relates to infrastructure investments in axes related to the coast. This project for the first time creates a corridor between the Alps and the Adriatic coast", said Karakaçi.
