Shalsi wants to break the law with both feet
Eduard Shalsi

At today's meeting of the Economy Committee, there were debates, as the General Directorate of the Budget, Mimoza Dëmbi, has been asked to be dismissed from the KLSH.

According to KLSH, Dëmbi has done the wrong classification of investments, there have been problems with funds for reconstruction, violations with the allocation of budgets, and there is a lack of monitoring for arrears since the correct value has not been reported.

In relation to this report, Eduard Shalsi invited Dhëmbi to the Economy Commission to have a meeting with the KLSH.

"KLSH has given much more detailed answers than it should have given, why are you scared and worried. It seems strange to you that it is reporting to the Assembly, in its own right recognized by the law and the Constitution. There is no need for KLSH to We are asking the director of the budget and the KLSH, because Moza Dëmbi is not a person, so we have no precedent for such a wording such", said Shalsi.

But this request of Shalsi has been opposed by the opposition, since according to the deputies, the regulation is being violated, because an employee cannot report to the Economy Commission because it is not provided for in the law.

"Why don't you invite those from the Check Up incinerator?", said Xelal Mziu.

While Shalsi replied that even the officials involved in these issues can be invited without any problem.

At this moment, Dashamir Shehi also intervened.

"Ms. Dëmbi is a very good employee and the old director, but she is not the object of this commission. We will create a precedent that has nothing to do with this work. We have no legal, nor moral, stake," he said.

Apparently, Eduard Shalsi will take the role of investigator and call administration employees to account to the Economy Commission.

But we must explain to him that he only leads a parliamentary committee and is not part of any investigative body or court. /CNA
