The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, delivered his speech at the Brdo-Brijuni summit to be held on October 6 and 7.

Begaj said that Albania supports regional dialogue.

The President stated that the region faces security challenges that require increased cooperation.

Begaj stated that Albania has made sustainable steps towards EU membership.

 

" Albania supports regional and good neighborly dialogue as an essential element for maintaining peace, economic development and regional integration. At today's summit, we discussed that the Western Balkans region has made important steps towards EU integration. The region faces security challenges that require increased cooperation and coordination between us.

The EU's growth plan for the countries of the European region. It is valuable for economic development as it creates access to trade facilities. We discussed the ways of regional cooperation, with the aim of creating conditions for young people to create the conditions for the future in their country. Albania has made significant and sustainable steps on its journey towards EU membership. Within a short time, we have opened 5 out of 6 negotiating chapters, which constitutes a concrete recognition of our efforts , "said Begaj./CNA
