From Pelesh's dismissal to the waste law/ The Legislative Council and 6

Today is a busy day for politics, with 6 parliamentary committees and the Legislative Council meeting.

The Legislation Council will be constituted at 11:00 and according to the agenda, it is expected to review the request of opposition MPs for the dismissal of the Speaker of the Assembly, Niko Peleshi.

At 11:00, a hearing will be held at the Committee on Education and Science with the Minister of Education, Mirela Kumbaro, on the measures taken for the start of the new school year 2025-2026, in the pre-university education system.

At 11:30, the Committee on Europe and Foreign Affairs will review two draft laws: the one on the ratification of the grant agreement between the Republic of Albania and the European Investment Bank, for the project "Railway Infrastructure of Corridor VIII, Phase I-Albania" and the draft law "On Integrated Waste Management".

At 11:30, the Committee on Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight will hold a joint meeting with the Committee on Human Rights. The report on the activities of the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection for 2024 will be presented to these committees.

The Committee on Culture, Tourism and Diaspora will discuss the draft law "On Integrated Waste Management", a committee for giving opinions. 

At 13:00, the Committee on Natural Resources, Infrastructure and Sustainable Development will hold a joint meeting with the Committee on Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight. AKEP will report on its annual activity for 2024./ CNA
