Teliti: Tirana Municipality is spending taxes on administration salaries, not on
Dorian Teliti

The Advisor for Economic Affairs in the Democratic Party, Dorjan Teliti, through a post on social networks, states that the municipality of Tirana has failed and abandoned investments in key programs.

Teliti also writes that before citizens vote on November 9, they should first ask themselves where Tirana's taxes have gone.

According to him, the money collected from taxes has gone to salaries and expenses of a super-bloated administration, but not to investments for the benefit of the capital.

Full post:

WHEN YOU VOTE ON NOVEMBER 9, ASK YOURSELF - WHERE DID TIRANA'S TAXES GO?

120 million euros, in just 8 months, have been taken from the pockets of families and businesses from local taxes and fees that have increased over the years.

But where did this money go? It went to salaries and operating expenses of a super-bloated administration, but not for investments that benefit the capital.

Only 24% of the 8-month investment plan has been implemented, and even investments in the Municipality's main programs have been abandoned:

1. Fire protection and civil defense – only 6% investment realization

2. Support for economic development – ??only 10%

3. Food safety and consumer protection – only 2%

4. Rural road network – only 23%

5. Public transport – only 6%

6. Basic education (including preschool) – only 41%

7. Secondary education – only 50%

8. Social housing – only 7%

9. And the "icing on the cake of abandonment" irrigation and drainage in the villages of Tirana – 0 investments, absolute zero!

Citizens pay more every day, while the municipality offers less.

This is the face of incompetence and abuse!

So when you vote, remember these facts. Remember the 120 million euros that came out of your pocket in just these 8 months and the lack of any real investment in the city and villages of Tirana.
