Berisha: Violation of the Constitution makes participation in the race debatable

DP Chairman Sali Berisha, at a meeting of the Presidency, ruled out the possibility of the opposition boycotting the elections to be held in six municipalities on November 9.
Berisha said that the opposition should use every opportunity to fight the current government. He further added that the boycott is not a punishment but means pleasing the opponent.
"An opposition in authoritarian dictatorships has as its mission its overthrow, never deceiving itself that it is overthrown by vote. But an opposition in my assessment and opinion will use every space in the battle and fight against the authoritarian regime. The boycott, which is a decision that comes first to mind before any injustice, has proven to have a destructive effect on the opposition. In Georgia, there are dozens and dozens of imprisoned oppositionists. My friends, that opposition, even in that temple where it should have had a voice, did not have a voice. At first glance, with the boycott it thinks it is punishing it, but it absolutely pleases the narco-dictator.", said Berisha./ CNA
