Kapri proposes Shehaj: Potential to run for mayor of Tirana Municipality

MP Erald Kapri proposed today the name of MP and leader of the Opportunity Party, Agron Shehaj, as a candidate for the Municipality of Tirana.

In a television studio, Kapri stated that the right has never invited through full or serious political figures.

Kapri added that for the race for the capital, the opposition needs a figure who can bring unification.

"The right in all competitions has tried to have a complete political figure or a serious political figure. What is the result? It did not win. Now, making the same mistake does not mean expecting different results. So, when we say a non-partisan candidate, it means not a member or a person who identifies with a certain party. We are talking about a public person, with high integrity, an uncorrupted person who contrasts with the other party. As for a strong candidate, I tell you that Mr. Shehaj is a potential candidate for mayor of Tirana. I am not saying that we do not have a party candidate or there is no good candidate within the party, the DP or other forces. But we are talking about a figure who unifies the entire opposition, unites the entire opposition vote and goes beyond", said Kapri. /CNA
