The meeting of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group concludes. At the end of the meeting, the chairman of this group, Taulant Balla, said that the decision was made to establish special parliamentary committees for Electoral Reform and for Administrative Reform.

Balla said that these are recommendations of the OSCE-ODIHR. Balla said that the Electoral Reform Commission will address the issue of depoliticization of electoral commissions and the financing of political parties.

Balla also said that changes should be made to the Electoral Code, which will include elections for the European Parliament.

" Among the basic recommendations of the OSCE remains the depoliticization of counting groups, the Socialist Party has supported depoliticization over the years. I think that the Special Commission on Electoral Reform should address the law on the financing of political parties.

The second issue I would address and which seems very futuristic is the draft Electoral Code that would include elections for the European Parliament because the time is coming for the country to have its own seats there.

The recommendations should be seen in a 10-year context.

Balla reached out to his counterparts from the DP and PL to fill the vacancies.

"The committees are very important and I hope that the DP Parliamentary Group, the PL Parliamentary Group and the independents will fill the vacancies .

I am the chairman of the Parliamentary Group and I am here to announce the group's decision to establish this committee.

We intend to communicate with the other party and will invite the 3 leaders of the other groups.

This is a draft law that has been consulted with experts and has received many recommendations. For us as the Socialist Party, which has always been the standard-bearer of change in its initiatives in Municipal Councils for gender equality, but let's leave the discussions to the Assembly.

Today we have a commission for electoral reform and one for Territorial Reform.

"We have entrusted the leadership for territorial reform to Arbian Maznik, for electoral reform to Damian Gjiknuri. We will await their proposals," said Balla.

Regarding the discussion on the dismissal of the Speaker of the Assembly, which was a request from the DP, Balla said that they have dismissed it today and that the Assembly will vote with more votes than the appointment.
