The Democratic Party has convened its Presidency after the 48-hour deadline for submitting candidacies by independent candidates ends today.
Present at the meeting are the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, the four vice-presidents, Gazment Bardhi, Luçiano Boçi, Oerd Bylykbashi and Agron Gjekmarkaj, the Secretary General, Flamur Noka, who is part of the negotiating group, as well as Belind Këlliçi and Ilir Alimehmeti.
Today, only independent candidacies that have announced their willingness to become part of the race for Tirana will be reviewed, facing the socialist candidate Ogerta Manastirliu and the leader of the Together Movement, Arlind Qori.
