Increase in the number of cases of violence against women and girls/ Berisha,

The head of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke at the "Conference/Successful Participation in Political Processes and Victory in Elections" where he stated that the years of "de facto" narco-socialist government were years of regression.

Berisha emphasized that today the cases of violence against women or the gap between gender equality have increased.

The leader of the opposition pointed the finger of accusation at the government, saying that they have not raised their voice for the protection of human rights and against women, and have not even presented a single resolution in defense of women's rights.

"Your battle for the ever-greater affirmation of your defining role in society and in the country is a difficult battle, it is a battle that faces the thousand-year-old wall of patriarchy which today is the main violator of freedoms and human rights in Albania, in Europe and in the world.

The battle to bring him down is one of the most important battles for human intervention, and you, with your efforts, make a very valuable contribution.

The years of de facto narco-socialist socialist government have been years of regression.

It is an undeniable fact that if financial discrimination was managed to get a good blow and the financial wage gap between men and women decreased in 2013, after 2013 this gap deepened without interruption and today it has gone to where we have been.

Likewise, violence against women has seen an unacceptable increase. In these 10, 160 women were killed, a good part of them under legal protection, while the acts of violence increased by over

50%.

If you follow the daily discourse, the word violence against women, her equality with men, fight against discrimination have disappeared from the vocabulary of Albanian governors and ministers. Their voice is missing in every case where they should be the main advocates for the protection of human rights. Their voice is also missing in cases of extreme violence against women.

They have not brought a resolution to protect women's rights", Berisha said./ CNA
