Prime Minister Edi Rama announced this Saturday that Albania will welcome next year the Summit of the European Olympic Committee.

Rama said at the meeting with the Albanians in New York that leaders from all over the continent will come to Albania.

"Albania is at the UN table, hosting the European Olympic Committee Summit next year, where leaders from all over the continent will come. Albania hosting the NATO summit. It is an Albania reborn this decade, from an embarrassing name for every Albanian when they ask where you are from, it has turned every day more and more into a name of pride, when you say "I'm from Albania". I have not come to tell you that Albania is a field of flowers, we still have many thorns to clear and wounds to heal, but I have come to tell you that I am as proud of what we have done, as aware of much more that remains to be done. That is why I have come to request that we continue to fulfill together this mission that started a decade ago, to stick it to the peak of 2030, doing for the state our flag, what every Albanian like you has done for himself and his family , becoming an inseparable part of the community where he lives", emphasized the head of the government./ CNA
