Prime Minister Edi Rama targeted the opposition during his speech in New York, at the meeting of Albanians.

Rama said that at the time he assumed the office of Prime Minister, Albania was isolated and was invaded by corruption.

He stated that the country was in economic trouble, with numerous debts and murders every 3 days.

"When I took office, Albania was viewed with suspicion, while the Albanian government was not respected, the prime minister had been isolated for years. The European road was blocked. The country was in economic trouble, the government in debt to the remaining road construction companies the roads were 40 million usd, it was the government's debt from unpaid obligations, the risk of energy collapse was greater than ever, the debt for energy was 1.3 billion dollars, hospitals were without medicine and family members were laying their relatives with sheets and blankets that they took from home "Albania had the highest level of hospital infections, police vehicles were turned off on the streets, there was a murder every 3 days, corruption in every contact of the citizen with the state, for every piece of paper from the state, you have to wait in line", emphasized the Prime Minister ./ CNA
