Prime Minister Edi Rama, in the weekly Podcast, there were two senior managers of the Public Procurement Agency.

He spoke about public procurement in the field of conditions that the country must meet for EU integration, at a time when the first group-chapter of negotiations was opened.

Prime Minister Edi Rama has stated that efforts are underway for Albania to have the first public procurement system in Europe with artificial intelligence. 

"We want to make the first procurement system with artificial intelligence, not only in the region, but also in Europe. We are in the phase of implementing my fixation of many years of the procurement catalog so that the story of chairs being in a school will finally disappear different in one class and different in the other, but to have a catalog and a central procurement authority that will finally remove procurements from the hands of the ministries procurements, but this agency will do them.

I think, at this point, if we just let all the artificial intelligence take the mud, it would be fine.

Let's say we don't have a job at all anymore, artificial intelligence has it, go find it where it is and use it to rob funds (laughs).

Public prosecutions at the time of the Rama government have turned out to be quite abusive with predetermined winners, increased values, etc.

Many local and central officials are being investigated and punished for abuses in tenders and procurements. This is an issue for which the EU has called for measures to be taken, as it is a key point of the country's membership in the European bloc./ CNA
