The deputy of the Democratic Party, Jorida Tabaku, reacted to the indexation of pensions by 4.1%.

Tabaku declares that the increase brought to pensioners by this indexation is ridiculous, since the elderly are unable to cover even the most basic necessities of life.

"Albanian pensions do not manage to cover even the most basic needs of life and this is a great injustice that is being done to a generation that has given everything for this country", she says.

Tabaku emphasizes that the increase in pensions is a failure like the 2014 scheme of Erion Veliaj.

"Current fiscal and economic policies favor a privileged few, impoverishing the majority of citizens. A failed pension scheme, like the one approved in 2014-2015, cannot bring a decent income to our citizens in the third age", underlines Tabaku./ CNA
