"Rama does not bear responsibility"/ Mediu: Albania, with corruption

MP and leader of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, today accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of showing irresponsibility for the situation in the country with his attitudes and behavior.

Invited to "Syri TV", Mediu said that Albania resembles third world countries in terms of economic situation and corruption.

According to Mediu, Rama acts only to the advantage of himself and his people.

"I don't think it's a coincidence that the three main political leaders of the opposition are being prosecuted before the election process. No one is judging Rama for anything he has done in 13 years. So, it doesn't matter what happens around him, but as long as he is at the head of the government, he is not even called to question, that is, he constantly disputes or maintains his positions and appears as the promoter of European behavior, at a time when the behavior is neither third world, that is, in his behavior as prime minister or institutionally, or as the economic situation or, I mean, in relation to institutions, crime and corruption, no third world country can have it like Albania.

This attempted to give an advantage and to justify in domestic and international opinion, actions that were illegal in the electoral process, such as election manipulation, the use of criminal groups in the electoral process, and at the same time the group of patronage Nazis to manipulate the elections. 

"At a time when the actions of today's majority are clearly actions with double standards. That is, towards people of interest to Edi Rama and people not of interest to Edi Rama," said Mediu./CNA
